At All Saints Eye Center, we stress the importance of regular eye examinations to maintain good eye health. Without eye exams, serious conditions like glaucoma can go unchecked, and can cause severe damage. Our doctors at All Saints want to see their patients healthy and happy, with experience in preventing, treating and diagnosing the common, and not-so-common, eye conditions.
Eye examinations at All Saints Eye Center are quick, thorough and easy. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible, so if you have any concerns feel free to discuss them with your doctor before your exam begins! After the exam, our doctors will discuss with you the results of your eye examination, and schedule further tests with you if needed. Eye examinations are extremely important to maintain good vision and healthy eyes.
During eye examinations at All Saints, our doctors will check for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye and retinal conditions (retinal tears, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration), as well as refractive errors. Your eye muscle strength will also be tested. Your doctor will provide you with a new glasses or contact lens prescription if needed. If you show signs or symptoms of any of the conditions tested for, you may need to come back for a more comprehensive exam to determine the best course of action.
The frequency of your eye exam will be determined by your doctor. If you are in good eye health, you will be asked to come back every 2 or 3 years. If you are older, have any pre-existing conditions or a family history of eye disease, you may need to come back once a year. This is especially important for those who have had glaucoma, or for those who have diabetes.
